When a Celebrity Dies...

Let's get one thing straight, I am NOT saying that Whitney Houston is trash.  I would never presume to make fun of someone because of their personal misfortune.  Whitney was a talented lady who may have made a few bad choices.  I'm not about to judge her for that. And my sympathy goes out to her family.

The media, on the other hand, is T-R-A-S-H.  The day after Whitney died, I was in the grocery store, and I saw a tabloid piece of garbage (btw, if you read these, you might be trash) talking about Whitney's "rumored" condition.  Clearly this was printed before Whitney's death. The woman's health and various troubles were fodder for these bottom feeding "journalists".  Now that's she's gone, it's all Whitney, all the time over at CNN.

Is yesterday's funeral the most important thing that happened on Friday?  Probably not.  Is it the most important piece of news today? Definitely not.  But it's everywhere. People couldn't get enough of exploiting Whitney, and now she's everyone's favorite singer.  It's terrible. And in very, very poor taste.
